Hello all. I am a newbie to the forum and excited to hear from everyone. I am shopping for a big bike for a big guy. 5'11" 350lbs. I am on heavy duty cruiser now but want to get serious. What kind of bike would you recommend. Plan to ride the pavement mostly.

Welcome - I too am a newbie at 6'0" and 315lbs. I went to the LBS for help with choosing a decent bike as I am trying to get fit for a lengthy ride AND lose weight. He suggested (and i ordered after a test drive) the following:

Hey Donkey - welcome aboard. I am sure some folks will be along with bike suggestions!! You might want to post with a new title - more about bike recommendations to get their attention.

First off welcome.

As far as bike suggestions go you need to tell us what kind of riding you plan on doing (Commuting, touring, bike path, etc.). You may want to start off with something not to expensive that is comfortable. As you get more into it then you will have a better idea of riding you want to do.
