Is it okay to have road bike handlebars on a hybrid I have a Cannondale H600. The rideing position feels pretty good. Am I a dork or am I cool. Also feel like I have a little bit of pain in my lower back should I rise my handlebars a little? I do most of my rideing in sprints then sitting back on the seat and then sprint again. That is just how I like to exercise the way I do things. Any help apreciated. I have a quail stem that is like 4 1/2 long so this kind of compinsates for the shorter hybrid frame right?

Whatever is most comfortable to you - is what a 'hybrid' is. Experiment. Try a longer or shorter stem. Do what works. New seats? Tires? Whatever works best for YOU.

A "Hybrid" is like a blank artists's easel with a canvass on it. How you choose to paint the picture is entirely up to you. "There are no "Dorks" making their own designs - just people.

Yeah try raising the bar. I was having some pain on my wrists, forearms and back until I raised my handle bar which put me in a higher position, now I'm sitting up right and pain free :)

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. You can use any handlebar that works well for you on any bike, hybrid or not. A bicycle is a tool and a tool should fit you, not some misguided sense of fashion or convention. You should never force yourself to fit the tool.
