I rode a 25 mile loop this afternoon.
I swear that no matter which direction I turned there was a strong headwind!
Was Mother nature out to get me or maybe there was a hurricane in OH today and
nobody told me.

No, Friday afternoon the wind direction held rather steady out of the West-South-West. But it was gusting to 28MPH. I think that it was your high speed that made everything feel like a headwind.

I rode on the Metro Vally Park drive that parallels the Turnpike near Brecksville. Going West was slow, slow, slow. Maybe the elevation gain had something to do with it. Start was 840ft. high-point was 1275ft. Coming back was a whole lot quicker!

Nice guess, but I know it was'nt due to high speed! I think it must have been my imagination.

There are places around here that are always a headwind, no mater which way the real wind is blowing, you can bank on it! Like riding towards Lake Michigan, or places where it's funneled up a ravine, or through buildings.

I could not ride until later on Friday. I stayed indoors and did 45 minutes on the roller before doing the core/resistance work. I forgot to put the fan out for the rollers and was too stubborn to stop and get it. A little of your, jwh, would have been appreciated.

It's a rule of physics. No matter which direction you ride in you always have a headwind.
