Just got back into road biking this March.
Have been increasing the miles, but they came slowly.
Saturday I did 38.5 miles, my long ride for the week. It is around Carter Lake here. Heck of a climb in it,1.2 miles. So steep I still walk a lot of it. Legs felt tired last two miles of ride, still able to average 15.0 MPH.
Today I did a different route, around Horsetooth Res. Three climbs in it, but not as steep. Looked at the map and figured about 22 miles. Well by the time i got home it was 30. Felt great at the end of the ride too. I averaged 15.4 MPH.
I'll have to see how tomorrow's planned ride goes. I guess I may be upping my weekly miles faster than expected.I just hope the long rides start comming this easy. :D
