Howdy bike gang,
Though I've looked to Bike Forums many a time to answer my questions or feed my curiosity and knowledge about many a bike-related thing, I only registered today.
Been cycling on a regular basis since late high school and have biked through all seasons since about 2003... and yet I only acquired lobster mitts and effective winter gear this winter. A testament to either improvisation or tolerance to Canadian winters.
Old 5 speeds were my thing until about a year ago, in favour of lighter, speedier designs. Nothing fancy--a Cambio Rino from the year I was born--but it does me well and I rode without hands on the bars within a minute of the test drive, so I knew she was right for me.
Interests and reasons for registering include: community, learning about parts and tune ups; interest in building a bike from scratch; future plans for touring.
