Northeast - Anyone else stupid enough to ride Palisades?

Beautiful day in NYC today, so I thought let's ride Palisades park. BIG MISTAKE. After the storm, there are, I kid you not, probably 50 trees across the 2nd section. You have to go over or under them, complete nightmare, it took me 3 times as long as normal. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - first section after GW bridge is open though. Plus, no hint of greenery as well, very weird in 70 degree temperatures, spring has definitely not arrived to palisades yet...

Is it clear from Edgwater to Englewood? I plan on riding that section Sunday morning. Something must be getting ready to bloom there. The tulip trees across from my apartment are budding. The crocuses and daffodils in Central Park are in full bloom as are the tourists this weekend.

Just answered my own question with a nice ride to the Englewood Boat Basin. All clear to that point and thankfully tourist free.

Sorry, replied too late, glad you didn't wait! Gorgeous weather to be out this weekend, roll on spring.

Yeah, I did it the weekend after the last big storm a few weeks ago. Check the last page of the Bear Mountain/Nyack/etc rides thread for pics. It was really bad. I'm not going down there until even the twigs are off the road!
