rode my summer bike yesterday and I've been having fun with it on some days but I need to commute some more and I need the triple but it still has the studs! ARGH! get those studs off boy!

Took mine off last week. So quiet now! I'm no longer reminded of Rice Krispies when I ride.

I commuted without studs for the first time this year. It's amazing how fast, smooth, and quiet slicks seem after grinding the studs a couple months.

I like to wait until the end of breakup and get a new set of really nice smooth tires. The transition is very much like taking a 100 lb. backpack off. I can suddenly fly.
