I've been surprised not to see more coverage of the Taipei Cycle show in the online cycling press (this is the third biggest such show after Eurobike and Interbike), so today I started searching for it. I found an interesting blog post (http://blog.taiwan-guide.org/2010/03/taipei-cycle-exhibition/) that showed a new semi-recumbent tandem. The manufacturer has a minimalist page that includes it here (http://www.twbents.com.tw/HTM/2010new.htm).

Of course, it is a similar set-up to the Bilenky Viewpoint (http://www.bilenky.com/viewpoint_main_page.html) and Hase Pino (http://hasebikes.com/148-1-tandem-pino-allround.html), but what makes this unique is the two independent drivetrains! The drivetrains don't even match, with the rear person getting a triple chankset, but the front only have a single chainring. Despite this, the front person has two gear levers, so I'm not sure what the left lever would control.
