having wondered into programing forums, I've seen a system that might be useful in the mechanics subforum.
How about adding "problem" or some similar text to the title of each post there and when the problem has been solved, the OP or mod can tick off "solved" and in the title, it would automatically change from "problem" to "solved".
might make it easier to find possible solutions to problems that a user might have, since not everything is solved.
for debates, stickies, other misc. stuff, have another check box that indicates it's not a 'problem'.
