First timer here........

Looking to downsize to an old 3 or 5 speed. Had my eye on some older Schwinn's but I found this one and it's much cheaper and appears to be in better condition than any Schwinn I've seen. I'm just going to be using it for a less than 2 mile ride to work and around the neighborhood with the kids.

Should I pay a little more for a Schwinn or will this suffice?

+3. That's a great deal for $65, if it fit you and fits what you are looking for. The lack of lugs is pretty interesting (as is the size of the head tube) though, and this was before TIG welding.

It's a Murray built Free Spirit. I would offer $55 if it fits. If doesn't want to haggle, I'd offer $65 if it fits.
