Hi my name is Roland and I've recently got back into cycling after 25-30 years not. Just got a new bike (comfort/hybrid) Opus Mondano at a LBS here in Oakville. My concern is that last Friday I went for a bit of a long ride(20-25 km) and on the return trip my left palm went numb with the numbness spreading into my fingers. the same thing happened the next day on a much shorter ride on a local trail. Anything I can due to prevent this from reoccuring in the future?

No I don't. I just recently got this bike at a LBS fitted for my inseam, ie. cross bar doesn't crush anything important, felt comfy on test ride and feet touch the ground when in the seat. Don't remember how I was holding the h-bars, but don't believe the arms were locked. What about the ergo type grips?
