Review - "Messengers"

Late last week I ordered a VCD of the Japanese film "Messengers" from yesasia.com. It came in the mail today and I just now finished watching it. Overall, I have to say I was very pleased with it. It was definitely decent, and just plain fun to watch. Sure, there were a few slightly campy scenes, as well as a time or two when cycling abilities and physics were sort of bent for the sake of the storyline, but those things were easy enough to let slide. It wasn't what I would call a great film, but it was worth the $8 I paid for the VCD and I'm sure I'll watch it again every once in a while. You can get it on DVD, too, but it costs in the range of $26.00, and I'm not sure I'd pay that much.

So yeah....I guess this isn't so much a review as a short opinion, but I thought I'd post it anyway. Hope someone else gets a chance to see it.
