Found a 21" U-09 on CL. Guy is looking to trade, I want to make him a cash offer. Looks like it's the frame, cranks, pedals, chainrings, stem, bars, breaks. I don't see shifters, front or rear derailers, steapost, seat or wheels.

How much should I offer, if anything?

$30-50 (if the stem, the BB and the cranks are ok, you got the hardest parts to find for restoration right there)

40 bucks. Seatpost will be an issue, it's likely a 24mm. Hard to find, certainly that size if the frame is Carbolite. Try a cheapie BMX post with a shim.

The guy initially was lookig to trade for a larger frame. After nobody responded he emails me back saying it is now for sale. He wants $100. I've offered him $30. Well see how long it takes him to reply if he does.

Bike prices are starting to go even more nuts in Toronto.
