Let me know.

Dude... land must be within 15 minutes of my house ;)

Joe Gardner
08-23-04, 11:10 PM
I wonder how much that would actually cost to build...

a2psyklnut
08-23-04, 11:22 PM
Give me dimensions and I'll do a budget estimate! Although with Hurricane Charley ripping through the area, the price of wood is going to skyrocket again!

Give me some time to throw some #'s together.

16 feet riding width and 410 feet riding length. No clue on how much wood for the support.

plywood is very expensive right now, maybe you could poor epoxy over something for the surface? Where are you at I would go in on it.

Yes, but will it enlarge my penis?

Probably not, but if you make a few careful alterations to your frame pump you could be golden with the ladies.

Sure, I will loan you the money. I've done so many colostomy surgeries this year that I have been making an obscene amount of money.

My wife, Hizzan Azman, will require me to charge you interest of 15% a year, though. My daughter Biahn Azman is going to MIT next year, and I am looking for solid investment returns.

My brother, Uppyor Azman once borrowed much money from me without interest, making my father, Yurran Azzman quite mad with me.

it'd be better if it didn't have an overpass.

How the hell would a one sided velodrome even ****ing work?! Are we forgetting gravity and electronegativity. :^)

Fugazi Dave

I'll ride a moebius strip, but we have to have it in space, we have to ride with magnetic wheels, and the track has to be steel.

or tracks like on rollercoasters

hey hey. this is getting out of hand. All I wanted to see was some gnarley crashes at the crossroads. All this talk about negating the laws of quantum physics and general relativity should be moved to the tri-geek forum. I heard they're using the findings of string theory to develop new aero-bars that create a gravitational field thats greater in front of the bike than in the back so it actually pulls the bike forward.

But how do you pass with rollercoaster tracks...? :)

But how do you pass with rollercoaster tracks...? :)

there are as many tracks as there are riders but on strategic positions there are
switchblades like on train tracks and they can be activated with a remote on the
handlebar. so you block your opponent from passing until the next switch.

just got this email ffrom Squid, organizer of the '05 CMWC in NYC:

We are working on the 8. It has turned into its own project, not gonna
happen for CMWC but it is gonna happen!

so, NYC it is, apparently...

holy ****, that would be totally possible!
Although it would be more like altering/adjusting the current field as opposed to creating a new one.
holy ****, I'm a geek!

The only downside to one of these, as I see it, is that they are incompatible with tall bikes (http://tallbike.net/).

So for fun I talked to the wood guy at Home Depot, he quoted me $5,400 for the plywood (7,000 sq feet), and an estimated $8,000 - $10,000 for the rest of the project.

So $15K for materials, 72 cases of beer and 84 pizzas for the builders over two weeks of free labor, I am looking at $17,500 tops...

Not bad ;)
