I thought this forum might be interested in this since some folders come with the SRAM Dual Drive. J. A. Stein makes a really handy tool for removing the cassette lock ring (http://www.jastein.com/Html/Tools_for_Wheels.htm) Shimano or SRAM cassette lock ring while on tour. This becomes an issue if you break a spoke on the cassette side of the rear wheel. Even if you make it to a bike shop you still might be SOL because many standard lock ring tools will not work with the dual drive. Even though the inner plate splines on the Stein tool are thin enough to fit over the DD axel nuts and engage the lockring the outer plate won't fit over the Dual Drive Axel. I worked around this by fashioning a new outer plate from a 1/8 inch thick aluminum bar. I used aluminum simply because it is easy to drill, cut, and grind. After the usual futzing about it worked with my Moulton DP. I know a lot of folders have non-standard dropouts so it might not work for you, but if you can get it to work it could be handy to have on tour (the cassette side spokes are almost always the first to break) and it easily fits into a tool bag.
