Hi, I am pretty new to riding but my wife and I are getting into it together. So far we have purchased her a Gary Fisher Zebrano and I am currently deciding between a Giant Cypress SX and a Felt SR91.
I've been reading through the forums for a while now so thanks to you all already, I've found some good information here.

Hey larue,Welcome to BF! I lived in Ft. Myers in 2002. I was on Summerlin. A nice route for me was taking Summerlin down to Gladiolous(sp?) to 6 Mile Cypress to Daniels down to Gateway, go thrhough Gateway and the first right after the 7-11. Follow that out to the exit of the Gateway development and take a left. Funny, I never knew the name of this road, it has a nice paved shoulder all the way to Colonial. I would then take Colonial back to Summerlin going past Page Field. The reason I mention this is I notice you are newer to riding. I live in Punta Gorda now but ride to Ft. Myers once in a while on 41 and then hooking up on the route I just descibed via Cape Coral (causeway?) coming off the bridge onto College and catching Summerlin. That's a nice ride in itself.
Just got my internet access back since Charley.

Welcome! I live on Cape Coral. I've been riding solo lately, so I haven't gone out with them in a while but they probably are still good folks: http://www.caloosariders.com/index.htm

Thanks for the advice Paige. I ride Summelin pretty frequently so I'll have to try that route soon.

Welcome to the Forums larue! I've ridden a bunch on Sanibel and Captiva Islands! We have a June timeshare near the lighthouse. So the first two weeks of June will usually find us over there. I ride a lobster red colored Aegis and we ride a purpleen colored Cannondale tandem over there! Nice riding, a little too flat and a bit hot, but heck, we're on vacation when in town!

Well maybe I'll see you around next June Gus. Hope that timeshare didn't take a beating.
Take care.

It faired ok! Lucky us I guess. From what I understand Sanibel faired well, but Captiva was hit hard!
