I'm trying to find front and rear pannier racks for a 20 inch wheel bike (Circe Helios tandem). There doesn't seem to be much about. Does anyone have any suggestions for anything on the market or a modification?

It looks like the bike has cantilever brake mounts from the pics I looked up. I'd use one of these Nashbar racks for the front. You may need to make a support that goes from the rack platform to the axle or eyelets on the front fork for any heavier loads however. They're out of stock right now, but they are often on ebay, or you can pm me. I have one that I'm not using we can work out a deal.

For the rear there's some pics of people using standard racks. Depending on the size of the panniers you want to use, you might need to use a standard height rack to stop them from rubbing on the ground.

Bontrager makes a rack for kids bikes - you can see one on my son's at: http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/page/?o=RrzKj&page_id=125475&v=1C It fits 20-24". However, it's primarily designed to hold balls, bats, etc. However, as you can see in the pics, it's usable with a trunk and small panniers.

I have a set of Old Man Mountain racks I use on my 29er. I put the rear one on my Swift just to see if it would work, which it does. Haven't tried the front one though. Link to the post with pics.

Thanks guys. Nashbar and Bontager are both neat, but the Old Man Mountain is going to be best in my case as it needs to take a hefty load. Funnily enough, I had wondered about this one already, and asked a shop who said it would be too wide when the skewer spacers are omitted. This doesn't seem to be a problem in your photo though. Perhaps you have bent it in a bit? I guess the same should work on the front looking at the geometry.
