So who's in? If you register before March 31st, you save $10, so I saved $10 and registered.

Yeah, I'll be there. 75k route. Hope to get in right when it opens and hammer it the whole way.

Silver bike, black shorts.

Haven't figured out the jersey yet, but it will be one of those semi-seethrough rain jackets if it rains.

It was raining, the winds howled and made climbing hills worse by being all in your face like, "punk, you ain't goin' nowhere!". And yet, I knocked out the 50k in 2:23 including a break at the halfway point and some stops for picture taking when the rain eased up. Sorry I missed you guys. If you saw the bike below, you saw me!

Yup, that just about sums it up.

Crazy conditions for a ride. 50+kmh wind gusts. Made the rain feel like hail.

Normally, I usually get in 100km but my hands were frozen so I gave up after 75km. 2:37 total time.

There might have been 13,000 people signed up but no where near that who actually rode.

Yeah it was a brutal day. I was signed up for the 75k. I woke up, looked out my window and thought 'screw this'. I went back to bed for an hour and went down and rode the 50k at 8am instead. Riding solo in those conditions is the opposite of fun. Still a decent ride, but yikes you really notice the uphill portion of the DVP when you've got a stiff wind in your face :)
Here's to sunshine next year!
