I know other threads have discussed sounds coming from their bikes, but I am going crazy and I thought I would ask. I just put together a Giant TCR 0 (2002 aluminum) with ultegra components. Bottom bracket is original Dura ace. I think there are two different sources of the clicking sound - one is the seatpost - frame interface and I have no idea where the other is coming from. The clicking sound will occur if I just push down on the frame with the bike standing on the ground. I didn't read that in any other threads so I thought I would ask. Also, does anyone know if there is an insert or something that goes in with the seatpost? I put in a bontrager seatpost so it isn't the original. Thanks for any suggestions you guys might have! By the way, I took it to a LBS and they couldn't pinpoint it. Thanks.
Is the front derailleur clamp or braze-on. If it's the former then the click might be coming from the band.

Wrap your hands over the STI shifters and do it. The Ultegra shifters tend to rattle when they get a little worn.

If it's like my '04 TCR, it has a rubber insert that fits down in 4 grooves in the seat tube. Probably the only part I've found so far I'm disappointed with.

Thanks for the suggestions. Cyclwestks, I looked at my seat tube and I don't have the rubber insert although I have the 4 grooves. I contacted a LBS and I may not be able to get the insert. Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks!!

My TCR often makes noise when the front QR is not tightened just right.
Find something to cover the grooves. A cross section of inner tube will work if you stretch it around the frame, insert the post and then pull it up so that it keeps water from running down the post. Believe me enough water can get in there to cause problems.
