Great Lakes - This Saturday: Preview ride of QuadruPedal Century (35, 48, and 55 mile routes)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I will be leading a free preview ride of the shorter QuadruPedal Century routes this Saturday (3/27).

We will meet at :
Dodgeville Middle School
951 West Chapel Street
Dodgeville, WI 53533

Assemble at: 10:15 AM
Ride at: 10:30 AM
Fee: none
Pace: Casual
Road Conditions: Spring conditions: Dry, but patches of gravel and debris. Some winter damage. Use caution on downhills.

I have three routes: 35, 55, and a 48 miler that "short cuts" the 55 by crossing over Shop Hill Rd.

35 mile route: https://www.trainingpeaks.com/sr/CPXAAVPTFTTUSFGZHREY6MNGHQ
48 mile route: https://www.trainingpeaks.com/sr/FKPULDEFBJFL2FGZHREY6MNGHQ
55 mile route: https://www.trainingpeaks.com/sr/UEO6VHRCOL3KAFGZHREY6MNGHQ

You will be mostly self supported on this ride so bring tubes, tools, and air.
I will bring a map and cue for you and stash some basic eats (bagels, Hammer Gel and bananas) along the route if I know you are coming.
(email me at Stewart.Schilling@dairylanddare.com).

Cheers,
-Stew

BTW:
The official QuadruPedal Century is May 2nd this year.
It's a fundrasier run by the Iowa County Humane Society (and boy do they need funds!)
The official sign up is here: http://www.zapevent.com/listactivities.aspx?eventid=641

Why must I always be away for these rides?

I am 50/50 on volunteering for that weekend on Saturday and then ride on Sunday.

Done and Done. 57 miles, 2200 Kcal. 4800 ft climbed. A little cold and gloomy today, but otherwise a good time was had by all.
