Ride starts at Sherman Statue, SE corner of Central Park.

So, what happened on the ride? Gotta be some stories to tell with this one.
I was walking home and saw a good 15-20 cyclists riding northbound on Madison at 42nd around 7pm... looked like people were having fun.

I was more into the ride than the message ( being the ultra lefty that I am ). All in all it was pretty good, though it was slow at first ( my little brake away was suppressed by some kid on a fixe, I thought I thought the ride was about liberty and freedom ) and it did pick up speed as it got further down town. I think the ride would be more fun if the little socially cohesive leaders were more open and free about there demonstrations instead of putting them self's in such a proprietary stance over the demonstrators. I thought about all this as I zipped off down park avenue and heeded back towards Roosevelt island.

Hello all, I have been reading this forum a lot recently, so I figured I may as well register and post.
I was thinking about taking part in this tonight, but it just didn't strike me as all that fun/interesting/subversive/etc....
On my way home today, I did see several 'horses' riding over the bridge that made me reconsider for a moment, but laziness won out. I definitely plan to do the Critical Mass this Friday though, as well as some of the other bike events centered around Union Square, as I work about 3 blocks away.
