Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anyone have experience with any shops in Los Angeles with chasing and facing? What shops have you gone to to have this done? Thanks.

Any shop should be able to do this. If they don't do it, don't know how, or don't have the tools, then you ought to question their ability to work on bikes.

Most shops don't do that sort of stuff anymore. When I had a tube replaced on a steel frame a few years ago and had the frame repainted I called around and most didn't. If a shop has a lot of frames hanging on the wall not built up they're probably more likely to, but if they all come in assembled in boxes, probably not.
Budget Pro in Eagle Rock does it (or still did a few years ago), and Megan Dean of Mothattack (http://mothattack.com/) can probably do it-- she builds steel frames.

You can to Bikerowave to learn how. You may need to ask for the head mechanic that day and ask if he knows, they should be very knowledgeable. Maybe Bikeoven or Bicycle kitchen can show you too.
