Hello,
My name is Michelle Pearl. I own a physical therapy practice here in Boulder, CO, and am for the second time providing physical therapy and crew for this year's Race Across America's solo racer Amy Xu.
We are a part of a team called Team Strong Heart, which is a non-profit that raises money and awareness for Camp Odayin. The camp is in Minnesota, where kids from all over the country with congenital heart disease get to go every summer for three weeks based on donations.
The race will start in Oceanside, CA on 6/8, and doesn't stop until she crosses the finish line in Annapolis, MD within the 13 day limit they give us. This equals to about 20 hours a day on the bike!
Here's where you can help.
We are looking for a volunteer crew members to be a part of our team. This is a critical component to the success of Team Strong Heart. This is an intense, werarding experience, that I promise you will cherish for the rest of you life. Although volunteer, food, lodging, and travel are taken care of. We need people that can problem solve well, work on small hours of sleep, drivers, medical experience, and bike mechanics.
Please let me know if you are interested in learning more.
Thank you for your help!
Sincerely,
Michelle Pearl, PT MT
