hi!
i recently got back on a bike after a gap of about 12 years and am having to relearn everything from the ground up, including rock walks, manuals and even bunny hops/broncos. great fun though. i bought an entry level giant boulder, but have plans to upgrade while i save up for a really nice rig, (maybe a kona). i try to ride about 60+ miles a week but sometimes i let myself down, (like tonight, whilst fixing a puncture, i made the fatal error of cracking open a beer). i have managed to find quite a lot of fun places to ride locally, (maidstone, ket

cntd.....

oops, hit the send button.

that was going to say, (maidstone, kent). we have a small skate park here, but that's a long way off. mostly i ride along the river medway, but there are some half decent short local woodland trails, and a set of dirt ramps, on my estate, which i actually only discovered for the first time 2 months ago, and i have lived here 30 years!

anyway, that's the intro over. just trying to get my foot in the door really. but any, and i mean any, advise for a re-recruit would be gratefully received.

especially advice like
...don't buy suspension seat posts, they are rubbish.
...make sure you attatch your pump FIRMLY, or you will lose it before it is a week old.
...dont ride drunk.
...remember you are mortal.

that kind of thing.

cheers, i'll be about....
