got the studs off the commuter and took it for a spin. wore my new trisuit under my new cycling pants and thought I'd see if I could make it to my GYM where some other day I might swim and run then ride back
Maynard to Porter Square Cambridge
43.3 miles round trip
25.6 MAX
13.5 avrg
3 hrs 13 min saddle time
tried to keep the food and fluids up for the whole ride but I may have topped off the tank too much at the turnaround cuz at one point I thought I was belching and wound up letting some used coffee and cookie fly into the wind away to the right. it was pretty funny but pretty gross too. good thing I have cat like reflexes to deal with the hairballs of cycling ... hahaha I took it in stride and just kept on going
riding in the city is definitely a whole 'nother thing. glad I wore my day-glo stuff and strobes. there's also a big contingency of riders who head out from Cambridge west along Mass Ave.
it's always cool when a ride takes you from one very different geographic area to another, here meaning country to city and back again
I rode through historic Concord and Lexington along part of Paul Revere's ride! they still re-enact it with guys in uniform; real firearms and on horseback - the red coats are coming! the red coats are coming!

BTW: I see what you guys meant about using a restroom wearing a trisuit - can you say nuisance?
