MEC sells some neoprene socks for kayaking... Not sure why a cyclist would want some though since neoprene will probably give you blisters?

I want them for all the rain and the snow/slush during the winter. Figure you can always wear a thin pair of quarter socks underneath if they are uncomfortable. It's not nice arriving drenched even in the lightest rain.

MEC also sells Goretex socks. Pricey, but they work great as wind/rain barriers when it's cold out there.

I want them for all the rain and the snow/slush during the winter. Figure you can always wear a thin pair of quarter socks underneath if they are uncomfortable. It's not nice arriving drenched even in the lightest rain.
TBH Wet neoprene is too cold in the sub-freezing... I haven't tried it but most people who have tried something else... the goretex socks are a nice option but $65 or so.

I'll see how the socks I ordered work out first, if they aren't warm enough in the winter I can always wear a second pair underneath.
Btw...does anyone know where to buy a reflective vest to wear at night while cycling & wearing a backpack?

Anywhere.. mec sells a vest, canadian tire might sell a safety vest... you might want a safety triangle to hang off the pack, depending on how large it is.
