If you got off at the 287 exit and got onto US 36 while flipping some one off; I bet you wouldn't have the balls to give me the bird while you aren't driving 60mph. I would love to talk to you face to face.
For those of you who aren't that guy...
I tried cutting some one off getting onto the highway today and got flipped off. I tried cutting him off because he was going faster than me while merging onto the highway. Mean while trying to fit his 25 year old Audi into a 20 foot space between the car in front of me(going 60 mph).
At this point you guys are probably wondering what this story has to do with anything. Well he had biking gloves on and a jersey if I'm not mistaken. Oh yeah, and not only did he flip me off after I passed him, he once again flipped me off and stared me down while I was getting on the highway. The whole time he was flipping me off, I was smiling and waving.

So let me get this straight there was you and a car in front of you with 20ft of space. The car in front of you was going 60, you were going slower so the gap was increasing. Some one actually tried to merge in to traffic going the same speed as traffic and you cut him off? I think you deserved that one finger salute.

Nope, he was going 60 traffic was going 50-55. So I sped up once I saw him trying to get in front of me..
The fact of the matter is humans can't perceive reality 100% accurately so even if he comes on here and tells his story, we'd probably both be wrong. I just wanna duke it out, ya know?
I ride a motorcycle and I would NOT have taken that **** if I was on it. I would have followed him till he ran out of gas.

you're so tough... you should go hang out with cpfitness, you two would get along great.
Merging into traffic is a lost art in this city. Mainly because of folks like you. He was attempting to merge into traffic at a speed that wouldn't impede your progress. So, instead of actually allowing him to carry out the task, you increased your speed. Good stuff that. Saved you .4 seconds, no doubt.

You know I'm kidding right?
Unless you're a total jerkoff,it is common courtesy to allow people to merge onto the highway in America.
They need to allow dueling to take place again. 10 paces turn and fire. An armed citizenry is a polite citizenry. Did the 20 feet you lost really matter? You still got to wherever you were going just as fast.
I effectively ended a highway street race by blocking in one of the racers once.

It's just text dude, and we can't read minds yet. So unless someone indicates with emotioncons or posted enough so people can get a feel for their posting style we can't really tell.

Considering a fuel capacity of a motorcycle and a car I would say you would have run out first. lol
I really hate the people who use the accelerating lane as the passing lane when traffic is a bit backed up.
I make sure they don't get back in. :p

Well it was originally posted in the road bike sub-forum. I thought they would have fun with it. I guess not. :(

Sorry, OP, but without actually being there to see the situation for myself, it sounds like the other car was just trying to get in and you messed it all up. He should have followed you until you ran out of gas. His actions seem completely warranted.
Your post made me glad (yet again) that I fairly recently turned down a job in Boulder even if it did mean a huge raise. That commute is a pita.

I bet you're some one who drives in the left lane like it's the right lane.
The left lane is called the passing lane for a reason. You can't drive the speed limit in the left lane and expect people not to pass you on the right.

good, we don't want you here anyways.

I love riding the bus down the turnpike. The lady driver in the afternoon always cuts people off when she gets onto the highway, goes all the way to the left HOV lane and goes like 70mph in a 55mph. Its awesome.

the lane next to the accelerating lane (also called the merging lane) is not the left lane, it is the right lane. He's talking about people that go from the right lane, into the merge lane and try to cut back in to the right lane 5 cars ahead. I block those people until they end up in the shoulder, if I had to wait you do to.
If theres one thing I hate while driving is people that merge slowly, which sounds like the OP. I get up to speed as soon as possible and move out of the merging lane because I rather not be stuck behind someone that merges at a speed slower than the highway is traveling and end up having to cut someone off to get in because of them. I also always move out of the right lane when ever I'm approaching a merging lane because I realize that most drivers are too inept to realize they need to be up to the speed traffic is moving before merging in.
