Yup. You read it right. Vancouverites will get to 'rent' bikes to ride for errants just like them Parisians and Montrealers.
Yay! More metal commodities to be stolen and be sold to recyclers for drug money. :lol:

Yay for helmet laws. I wonder how they'll get around it - sharing helmets? People can't spontaneously rent a bike, which seems to be the goal, if they are required to bring their own beforehand.

Yeah. I don't know. As I understand it, the project is on hold. One of the red flags that shows it's not ready for implementation for the summer is the lack of infrastructure needed for the system (as in, bike racks for these shared bikes).

There is the issue of the cost of the system (Translink is currently short of funds) and the helmet law (an exemption is being sought, but there has been no headway on this exemption)
