Just thought I would like to start a new topic on construction that would affect bicycling. If anyone wants to post alerts, please include the city and state OR area (example: Joliet, IL; Chicago Area - SW; etc.).

Channahon / Minooka Area, IL

I&M Canal Trail closed from just east of the Dresden Lock & Dam access path west to Dresden Access (Cemetary Rd. south of Hansel Rd.) due to some minor dam restoration off the trail. May be able to walk around the big red garbage bin on the trail (was able to walk around it ok and got back on bike and continued on). Should be done next week or two.

West Frontage Rd. bridge over the I&M Canal to be down to one lane for next few months due to bridge getting redone. This might affect bike/ped traffic underneath the bridge (might have to make detour to Rt. 6 then back the other way on the other Frontage to get back on the trail).
