Still not a tandem rider, but just a wannabee. Looking for opinions on a tandem bike shop in Ohio. I am located in central Ohio.

Hubbub Custom Bicycles, Chesterland OH.

The web site has a number of broken links, but so far as I can tell, they're still at it.

They are not a tandem-specific store, but I got my tandem at Breakaway Cycling in Delaware. My sister got one too a couple of years later.

It's about 6 hours from Columbus, But IMO MT Airy cycles in Mt Airy Maryland would be my first choice. Larry Black (the owner) stocks tandems from many popular builders and he usually has several used ones as well . Very few places in the USA has as many tandems on the floor as he does. Looks like he has an event on for April 11 http://www.bike123.com/

I agree with velonomad. Although I've never been to Mt. Airy, visiting a shop where they have several bikes built up and ready to go, with a good experienced staff makes the drive very worthwhile.

If you're near Columbus, I seem to recall BAER wheels having some experience with tandems, although that may just have been one they got secondhand, rather than an intentional purchase.
