Mountain Biking - what would cause this to happen?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

When I pedal my bike on the left crank I can feel it tap when the left crank is in an up ward position especially right after i jump it. Every turn of the crank the crank makes this sound and i can feel it when it does this. Is my bearing cracked?

It sounds like the bearings in your pedal are going mine always tick when it seems there is some damage to the bearings

I am thinking that your bottom bracket is the culprit.
Another possibility is your crank arm is stressed and/or cracked.
Your best bet, and my best advice, is to go to your local bike store, or stores, and have a mechanic test ride it.
Could it be that your crank/axle is loose? Grab your crank arms and give them a tug. If they wiggle a bit, they might need tightening.
It is not likely that you could feel your bearings going on you (with a clicking sound as you described) and keep riding for any amount of time. Assuming that your bearings have a race and are not free bearings, the bearing race usually gets chewed up shortly after the bearings are bad enough for you to hear or feel. When the races start to get chewed up, you will hear a terrible grinding sound and you will feel the unmistakable resistance with every turn of the crank arm.
Check other simple things:
1) Could either crank be hitting something like your rear drop-out?
2) Could it be your pedals?
3) Do you have anything that hangs from your bike, clothes, backpack, etcetera that could be hanging down hitting the spokes now and then? This happened to me this weekend. I thought there was something wrong with my crank-case or bearings, but found that it was the cord from my headphones dropping into the spokes every time I pushed down with my left leg.
