144390I have been sitting patiently in front of the computer waiting for the store to open promptly at 9...so much excitement:lol: I checked back and they were sold out in less than 10 minutes. Now I just have to wait for the mailman after waiting for almost a month to get a chance at one. Just wanted to share.:D

That's a sweet bag. I have been having a hard time deciding between an Acorn and a Carradice.

Man, that is sweet! I've been looking for something just like that, but need something that'll fit a non-Brooks saddle :-<

Not necessarily. You can add these viva bag loops (http://www.velo-orange.com/vivabagloops.html) from velo-orange to your non-brooks saddle.

And for a bit more money (err,,, much more money) you can use a nitto saddlebag grip (http://www.rivbike.com/products/show/saddlebag-grip-nitto/20-109).

I ordered both the small bag and the medium large bag last month. I only wish the medium large was....larger. But I'm probably going to order a large bag at some point and perhaps the rando bag. I love them, and I get compliments on them everywhere I go. Enjoy it.

I would have a heck of a time not doubling my prices, if I were them. Wow.
I don't get it. Why is that style more aesthetically pleasing than a rack and panniers, or a racktop bag like an Arkel Tailrider, both of which have less of a negative effect on handling?
It's all about the look, isn't it?:D

Oooooo! That'll work, thanks! Now to wait until the first to get a medium. I'm excited about having room for a full tool kit and extra food and water. No more gas station stops!

Looks are important to people for a lot of reasons... house...car ...spouse...etc.;) So I have to agree with the asthetics point of view a bit. For me it's not just a look, I think it will be a bit more useful than my current saddlebag. I also use paniers and trunk bags on my LHT with front and rear racks, just wanted a bag smaller than a trunk but larger than my current saddle bag. and like others have said it's a sweet bag.:D
Aesthetics certainly factor into bike decisions that we make................I wouldn't want to ride a bike that looks funny:lol:............

Wonder if that Acorn bag would fit on the back of my seat????

You know, you can take a plastic grocery bag and tie it your handlebars and carry stuff that way. Do anything else, and looks factor into it ito some extent.
Acord makes some handlebar bags I'd like to have, though.

Don't need a rack for saddlebags. Lighter weight, great for commuting and randonneuring.

I have to say it is one nice bag, thanks for they kind words. If only they made panniers.
I got one of their medium saddlebags last year and am very happy with it. I ride solo, mostly early in the morning, so I tend to carry a bit more repair gear than some. The bag takes my tool kit, 2 spare tubes, and a snack or two and still has space for me to stuff my shell in if need be. It is the perfect size for me. It is also extremely well-made and does not detract from the bike's look. Finally, I haven't noticed any negative impact on handling.
Good choice!
