Anyone know where i can pick up speed springs for a 97 indy sl? Im moving this old fork to my little sisters bike, but would like to re-hab it a bit, i havent used it for a few years. The elastomers are shot :)

Hmmm, I cant find any upgrade path with the Indy SL, did mountain speed ever offer speed springs for this fork?

Did the indy sl have rebound dampening? some "lower end" forks dont. If it does not have rebound dampening, chances are good speed springs were never offered for this model, as it would be like riding on a pogo stick.

Yes, Mountain Speed did make a Speedspring kit for the 1997 RS Indy forks, I own them. My 1997 Hoo Koo E Koo came with an Indy fork and I needed the heavier springs for my size. I actually still have the fork and the springs, and they still work great (unlike 10 year old elastomers).

Sorry for posting to a thread that has been dormant for 5 years, but I am looking to see if there are any companies still around that sell aftermarket/ replacement springs for forks (both older and newer models). I see Englund is no longer around and I can not find Speed Springs advertised anyplace, so I assume they bit the dust too?
