Introductions - Hello all from Eastern Nebraska...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Looking forward to sharing info and acquiring info.
Bikes:
Trek 7000 (mine)
Cannondale P400 (wife's)
Schwinn KOM (classic)
There are several good rides in eastern NE and western IA, although none of them are extreme downhill.

Omaha, Lincoln, or On The Farm?

Omaha, but my wife's family owns a farm near Nebraska City. It is a quiet retreat from the traffic and rush rush.

Doh - that's the wrong side of the tracks. :) I was hatched in Lincoln. (Actually I know next to nothing about Omaha - only relative who lives there is kind of the black sheep of the family) Eh, my parents used to drag me out to Nebraska City to go shopping at some extremely boring store in the 70's. Kid torture.
Where are the good rides? The roads were a bit narrow when I lived there way back then.

Indian Cave State Park, Platte River State Park, Swanson Park in Bellevue. I have heard that Ponca State Park has good rides, but I have yet to try it out.
