144640144644Totally transformed Diamond Back Interval, s/n indicates 1993. I believe to be a Tange frame (not tig welded but brazed).
Every single item replaced (except the front reflector, I needed the bracket to take up space in the headset), frame sand blasted powdercoated.

Probably got over $500 in it when I buy the cranks.

Hello specter1000. this might be a bit new for this forum, but I think $500 is a good price. also if you look around the forum and check out the flipping thread, and some of the others you will find that putting alot of money into a bike like this is not really a gaurentee of a huge return.

while in original condition had it been in good working order and super clean a Diamnond fan might have snatched it up for $300.

btw the fact that you said you had to leave the front reflector on because you need it as a spacer in the headset would turn me off. it shows that you might not know what you are doing. you could have gotten a small spacer or washer somewhere for about $1. you should put a rear reflector on it to keep the front one from really sticking out.

I think that you will get much more money if you part it out and sell each piece separately.

I sold a 1999 Diamondback Interval this past October for $225. It was all original with 7 speed RSX brifters. I almost parted it out for myself because I figured the Diamindback reputation is so awful. They are nice bikes, sadlled with a bad name.

With the 8 speed and now that we are going into bike season, $275 is probally the maximum.

+1, Same here. This is a downtube shifter bike, no brifters and there's no manufacturers decals on the frame. I'm not saying its fair, but that's just how it is. In order for that bike to reach the $400 it would have to have brifters. Even then, it's a stretch.

It's a good rider, no doubt, and you may have more in it than it's worth, but less than you'd have to pay for a decent modern bike. Either way, not bad. As a non-brifter bike, it is limited in it's pool of potential buyers, and the price. But it's a good bike.
