Not sure this (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/7547129/Council-condemned-over-Britains-shortest-cycle-lane.html) would do much good.

I concede, I thought the 14 ft long one on Mabelvale Pike was short, but this wins.

I thought many of the bike lanes in the Atlanta area were short (some only one block long :twitchy: ) but the Brits have won with this one. :o

What's even worse - is that they spent 2,000 pounds, for $5 worth of paint, and an hour's labor.

Anybody looking for a good paying job?????

2,000 pounds sounds like a lot for that. Makes me wonder about the accuracy of the reporting. It also doesn't sound to me like they tried very hard to get an official explanation for the short marking.

I'll agree that it sounds goofy but I'm withholding my final opinion until I hear the other side.

of course thats not a bike lane in the traditional sense. it's more of a sign saying use bikes, and use them on this side of the road, and cars please keep an eye out for them and don't blow your horn at them because we want to encourage cycling
