I have been training for a 25k run in march... i also got a bike over the winter that i rode on a set of rollers over snowy months for 20-30 min at a time with the intent of getting into some road and cyclocross rides this year.
I have a chronic injury to my ankle that i have an MRI scheduled for monday... i thought i had it licked this year as i have been running 1/2 marathons each year for the past 3 years, following which i have to take 6 mo off of running to heal.
rode 15 miles today, and my legs are whooped. :lol:. crazy that i can run 15 miles but can't ride em. It's a different kind of tired... more in the legs less in the lungs, but i loved it (first warm weather ride of the year). Guess i will be swapping my weekday/end runs for rides for a few weeks till i meet the surgeon.
thought id share for any runners who think they can hop on a bike and pedal with the hardkore doods... that is all:notamused:
