Electric Bikes - Airstream 805 bike...opinions??

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone know anything about the Airstream 805 folding electric bikes? I am interested in them and hoping to get some opinions on them.
Thanks

Those are about $1100 aren't they? That's what I found on Google. You could probably find a better deal if you looked. Maybe around $900 would be a better deal I think. If I were you, I'd spend about two weeks looking up stuff and investigating.

I checked their website and I like most of their bikes, nice lithium batteries..it's a Canadian Company and with that you would get better after sale service. But then the warranty says only 3 months on battery and charger. Enough time to see if you have a dud but is that standard, my cheapo lifepo4 has at least 1 year, iirc 3 on the battery and 1 on the bms and it was $300 landed.
offtopic - I really like their tents with folding lounge built in. No ish I just told the wife I was buying a double lounge like that for inside our tent for car camping this year, blow ups are out we keep popping them. If I'm on my own I'll sleep on a rock but they would also stay dry in bad conditions.
Hey thanks for the replies. I have emailed the company directly. You can buy direct thru them if you want. They are offering me 20% off if I subscribe to 50plus.com which of course I have done. I have emailed them back asking if I can go to their Mississauga HQ and look at these bikes. I am waiting for an answer back on this.
Do you know if we are only supposed to pay GST on ebikes? I thought I have read things about this, that PST is not charged because something to do with buying an eco-friendly 'green' product. Is this true?
Also, they have a better model number 811 coming out in May I was told, but no specs yet, although I have asked for them. He told me Sears.ca sells their bikes and I am especially interested in the one on the sears site by Airstream that folds, is 36v lithium, weight restriction of 90kg and is supposed to go 90km on a full charge, take 3-5 hours to charge, mudflaps etc. I am looking seriously at that model depending on the price he offers.

the bikes could be good quality but from what I saw, I've seen those same bikes at other retailers. Might look around and see. I'm not saying they aren't good quality but I'm pretty sure I've seen those same exact electric folding bikes at other websites.
