Foo - Will I get emmo? Kidz on vacation 1st time away from daddy.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Longest period kid-less since I became a Dad. Ex on vacation, 2k miles away with kidz. The first of such events after divorce. Guess I have to get use to it.
Do you get emmo when kidz away?

Find things to keep yourself busy, Ruben. Take the time to do things that you aren't able to do with the kiddos around. Before you know it, they'll be back home with you and you'll have made it through your first long period of time away from them. It doesn't get easier. You just get used to it.

Uh.....no, I never got used to it, wish I did, but I didn't. I almost had a breakdown when my youngest went to Japan without us, thought I was going to die! :twitchy: and my oldest has been married for like a year amd a half and I still call her daily! (I think it bothers her :o)

+1 This is the time to go out and ride your bike, go to the movies, or read a book undisturbed.
If it really bothers you, just make more kids.:thumb:

Huh, I haven't been away from the 20-month old for more than a few hours yet, and I would LOVE even just one day without the little guy. A week would be fabulous. I love the kid to death and wouldn't trade him for the world, but I kinda look forward to the days when I have a chance to be without him for a bit; then when he's a teenager I will wonder why he doesn't want to hang out with me. But for now, peace and quiet trumps all other thoughts.

Trust me, by the time they become teenagers, you will celebrate the time off!

I miss em, but it's about like when the wife's away. Binge drinking and staying out all nite with my firends is on.
