Hello all,
I'm looking into building up a Surly Big Dummy w/ a Stokemonkey human-electric hybrid assist. I'd like to be able to mount a battery underneath the snapdeck, but I can't for the life of me find the snapdeck dimensions anywhere online.
Most importantly, I'd need to know the functional width between the snapdeck hooks on the underside of the deck. I realize that the snapdeck is tapered toward the rear, so that functional width for holding a rectangular-shaped battery pack would decrease for longer battery packs.
That said, I'm looking at this pack made by e-bikekit.com: http://www.e-bikekit.com/shop/index.php?p=product&id=11&parent=0
It measures 14"x3x6
Maybe one of you xtracyclists can take a gander under your snapdeck for me and see if that size of a rectangle would fit! (Please!)
