HI guys

Well I got out the kids bikes today and noticed that they have all out grown there bikes, no problem I have three(3,5,7)kids so the middles gets the oldest's and the youngest gets the middles

well my oldest is 7 and autistic so he has difficulty with focusing on balance so we just kept training wheels on his bike, as he is getting older and bigger I am thinking that training wheels aren't going to be enough, we need to get him a new bike anyway so I was thinking maybe a trike.

any suggestion for a trike that will for better sense grow with him, most of the trikes I see are adult sized , any websites or manufactures you guys know of that I can look into.

thanks for any help
jim

I has a similar issue with my son. He is ten years old and last year I purchased a used Workmans adult trike. I ran the seat down as low as I could and adjusted the habdlebars and he can ride it fine. Considering that he could ride this bike into adulthood any upgrades or parts I change out to make it work better for him will be well worth it. I mounted a caliper brake to the front wheel so he can operate a brake with either hand and have better stopping power(It was already equipped with a drum brake). I'd like to invest in upgraded rear wheels to see if I can make it a little easier for him to ride but overall I'm happy with the solution. My main issue is storage.

KMX offers a good quality kid sized road trike, as does Catrike of Florida (Dash model). These aren't cheap, though.
