That's a nice rider - probably 1981-82. I have seen a lot of Colnagos and owned a few, and selling prices are all over the map. To me that's a $400-500 bike. Possibly you could do a little better - I'd maybe shoot for $600 and hope to get lucky.

I 'm asking $650 , That includes the new sew ups , and decal set . I haven't seen any other colnagos for sale locally . I had no idea what a colnago super was when I bought it , just thought it was a work of art , and a smooth ride . The first one I've seen on the central coast of California . One guy told me it was worth $300-350 to him , At that price , I,d restore it . Where these bikes for show ? , or good for a century ride ? , or just commuting ? Hope my price is not to out of line . I saw some beautifully restored ones on my google search , with prices up there with my CF Basso.

Hi spg,

I raced on these for three years back in the early 1980's. Criteriums mainly, and I was deadly slow.

Picchio's time frame is correct.

I barely missed on one two months ago locally that was a real time capsule piece. $500.

My son has a Super that I ride quite often. Yes, even commuting on nice days. Nice rider and we have about $425 into it. Maybe a little cleaner than yours, but not the original gruppo. We rebuilt the entire bike from the bottom up.

I wouldn't consider riding my son's Super on a century, but I have completed several centuries on my Master Extra Light.

I think that $600 would be doable as well, especially on the coast in a spring market.

It all depends on the market. Some markets (like mine) are not Colnago markets (or any vintage Italian bike for that matter). I think that you would do better on ebay, if you are willing to do that. More exposure, more Colnago enthusiasts and more people who know what a Colnago is.

+1 In my market as well. Vintage Italian bikes are under-appreciated. But a Trek, or a Peugeot, or a Cannondale, or a Schwinn, easy to sell.

I wish I had about twenty Treks from the 80's or 90's. They are selling like hotcakes around here.

Bikes that are unique, underpriced, or both go within minutes here on CL. I saw a Bridgestone RB-2 the other day for $125. I had my wife call on it, and the seller said they had twenty plus calls.

This pictured Colnago by the op would be gone in a day at $550 -$600 here, although local markets certainly fluctuate.

Particularily valid pricing with new sew-ups. I'd only include decal set to sell, but certainly would not alter originals decals in any way.

Clean it within an inch of its life as well. Collectors might like to detail these, but the public wants a turn key bike that looks great.
