Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - The Scenery Photo Thread

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I, personally, like to take a lot of pics on my bikes, especially when there's nice scenery around or it's just a cool shot to take. So this'll be the thread for those moments with your bike that you like to capture:thumb: (btw, it don't have to be just singlespeed bikes)
I sold this bike, but here was a cool one

If anyone besides you started this, it would totally get hated on. Nice photo, your rear wheel tripped me out at first.. I thought a metal beam was going through the spokes.

Knee - I don't think that would happen. It's a contributory thread inviting all to join and face no scrutiny (unlike the other threads) :)
Raiden - You have a cotic?! How is that frame? Those are really nice and versatile looking bikes :thumb: Did you get it in the states or pay a handsome shipping fee? I love all that can be done with it!

The frame was already in the states- someone bought an extra for himself, then decided to sell it for around the price of the frame alone. Its been my fixed-gear, roadie, CX, touring bike, and commuter so far. I love the frame, but for every unique feature, there's often a catch associated with it.

Sweet! Another excuse to post pics of our tarck bieks!
Here's a crappy one, taken at DUMBO, Brooklyn. I liked how the frame sort of blended into the guard rails.

duluth is cold as hell. i used to spend summers up around there. beautiful country.

There is a reason that I normally run a puny gear ratio. Even the "flat" roads are a couple percent grade for the most part. Taking the track bike across the St. Louis River Bay with track gearing and 23c slicks was just jackass tho (made it all the way over to Wisconsin with only a couple foot-downs).
Oh yeah, speaking of climbs, heights, and fixed-gears: Me and my old Langster (running 42x20 for one day only) at the top of Mt. Diablo, looking out over the east bay. That ride is 3200' of climbing in under 11 miles. I had to turn my wheel around to the freewheel to take it back downhill.

I've ridden up there several times, but never on my FG. Some of those narrow residential streets leading up to the trail are wicked steep.

How you diggin' that O8 fork?
johnnytheboy
04-06-10, 09:12 AM
i dig it..i wanted a nice straight blade fork with the rake in the dropouts instead of a fork that "swoops" to get the rake.
it looks dope and i mean...it's a rigid fork.
