Hi
Im short on time on the libarary computer so i can type much, fiorst thanks for comming by abd reading about the nigfht in the pole shed with the animals it was and experiance letme tell you :)

Its been raining like sheets of water.. Today io climbed up Lolo pass not a great feat but about 6,000 ft maybe i had the triple header going head wind, rain and climb. averaged 4.5mph when i got to the top there was a visitor center with hot coffee I took cream with it... warmed up a bit and headed down the opther side Damn near frooze I had another dry set of cloiths but didnt want to put them on and have everything wet for when i stopped and found a place to camp.

The sun came out a bit and started to warm up and i remember saying AHHHH ! then for no good reason the raion came again very hard and pea sized hail i had to take shelter under a big tree where i sat and shivered thinking "I gotta be nuts" about that time a fellow who is a coolege proffessor stopped and asked some questions it turned out he was originally from wisconsin and now lives and teaches in Idaho erlier in the day he saw me pulling the grade up the pass and said i looked like it was nbo problem. I replied it is no problem to climb i just gear down and pedal and eventually i get to where i am going but this rain and cold is punnishing me. It was a meseriable weather today, but still great to be alive and be able top do this stuff.

After a while and a lot of conversation he drove off and i was back to face the cold wind again. i made it to a little town and decided to get out of the weather and into a room for the night . The weather man says one more day of cold rain out here then it should start to dry up... Sure hope he is right It looks like another copuple weeks to the coast i am looking foreword to riggins idaho its a recreational paradise with rafting and great fishing. It all goes right the next stop i would be Zims hot srpings and camp there.

Oh before i forget i stopped in LoLo to visit RC's mother in law we had a nice chat then i rode on thanks RC for the cntact. I got more pics to get developed and posted soon

Ok... who the heck is RC?

Take cover, boyfriend! There's nothing worse than getting sick while you're traveling. Me personally, I would have begged the professor to get me to the nearest Motel 6 or Ho Jo's! Props up to you for keeping up the ride and getting to your destination in one piece!

I look forward to hearing more. It sounds like you're zipping along!

Hey George! I sure hope they had a hot cup of coffee on for you! My in-laws are really great folks! I'll be over there soon helping to put up the last cutting of hay for the year. Thanks for stopping to see them. I will make for good conversation when we next visit with them. Hey, there is an awsome 75 mile bike path there in Idaho some place up north along your route. Are you going to be riding it? The Hiawatha I think it is called. Stay safe. Have fun. Post more. :)

Hold on George. The weather is supposed to get better. You are headed in the right direction to get out of it. We had record rainfall on Monday. I even have had the wood stove going the last day or two!

Koffee, I am RC. Long story short, I am from Texas. We don't use names down there. We use initials. My first two initials are RC. Family and my closest of friends call me RC. The rest of the world has only known me as "Bob." I guess I just got tired of explaining how I came to be called RC. :D

Hey Catfish. Because I'm geographically impaired can you let us know where you are so I can follow along on our atlas. We lost you in Colorado. Let us in on your secret. Where is this edition of "Catfish On A Bike" going to end up? Is there a book in your future? These memories and experiences are just too cool to keep to the select few that come to this forum. Enjoy the ride - Phil & Marty

Hey George, Love reading your adventure. I agree, you really do need to publish a book of your adventures. You are a true inspiration. I am still working on those pictures. Problem, they are too big. Need to be 100 or smaller. Keeps telling me the Pics are 130-140. Don says he'll look at it but he's been busy. Any ideas on shrinking down the pics?

Sue. You'll need to use a photo editor resize the photographs. Photoshop is one example of that type of software. Your camera may have come with a photo editor as well. That software should be able to resize as well.

Hope this helps.

Hey Catfish,
It's been a month now since we rode together on the Katy. I haven't gotten to ride since then....soccer season and soccer practice for my kids. Think "warm". Ride safely and keep entering the notes on the ride. I feel like I'm there with you.
