Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Get the p2, Haros are nice if your six years old and need training wheels :p

I'd buy the Haro.
1) I like Haro's. They're a well made bike and they're cheaper than other manuf. with the same component specs. You could probably get the 8.3 for the same $$$$$ as the P.2
2) I like the color!

i refuse to get haros, since every kid in my town is riding one. I don't feel the need for one, and i agree that they are the "6 year olds" bike or w/e.

They are about the same however I would pick the P2 just cause it is made by Specialized and you cant find a Specialized bike in walmart.

Guess what switch the 8.2 and the P2 around and you have the correct answer. The 8.2 may look tough, but there are xc bikes out there that are tougher than an 8.2, the P2 will last you much longer than the 8.2 will.
