Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Underoos

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
If were going to have posts about looking at each others legs...
So a good deal of you dirty hipsters on this forum don't put on special shorts with neat pads to ride, so what do you wear under your pantaloons?
I usually ride in MTB shorts although casual rides I'm a boxer guy, but a few times lately when I have just hit the door in jeans and boxers I have experienced great creepage. Kind of odd as I have rode jeans and boxers plenty in the past with little issue.
So boxers, tight and white, boxer briefs, boy shorts, thong, underoos???

boxer briefs. I pull time up nice and tight if its going to be a long ride. Just feels safer.

I just go with mtb shorts. If I know I'm going to be off the bike for a while when I get there I'll toss some boxers in my bag and take the liners off when I get there. Yeah it's a pain but not nearly as much as the time I sat on a nut after standing for a speed bump hop.
If I really want to be wearing regular pants I just do the same thing and wear the liners under some jeans. I HATE riding in jeans though, they feel so heavy and drag on your knees. Anything longer than knee length that doesn't have an articulated knee is such a pain to ride in. If have some great Cutter knickers for slightly chilly days. They're super dorktastic but oh so comfortable.
Some times with a long ride I'll wear bib shorts and a jersey then throw some regular shorts and a t-shirt in a bag. I'll be totally set if it ever becomes stylish to walk around with bib short straps hanging out of the shorts I pulled on after the ride. I've done that enough times.

I go with what's clean, usually boxer briefs or boxers, if I'm lucky I'll have some compression shorts that are clean. I really need to get some lycra for the summer months approaching though.
Anyone know of any good cycling shorts with the nice pads and all of that good stuff for <$30?

I recently picked up a pair of gore cycling shorts. They definitely tone down the harshness of a hard saddle.

Ouch...
I used to like loose boxers, but cycling socially or for utility has turned me to boxer-briefs (or long underwear in the colder months)

I might have to try boxer-briefs with the good reviews around here. Just traditional boxers currently. I normally don't talk about my underwear but hey! you all are complete strangers so who cares.

You're kidding, right? You're really asking us what kind of underwear we wear?

Bikini briefs dudes.
No ride up or bunching.
Parts are kept in order.
Stylish.
Weight savings are substantial.
I'm never looking back...
Concerning commado, I'm not a fan. When I get out of the saddle, then go to sit back down, things are sometimes not where you expect them to be and can get pinched, squished, or otherwised discomforted.

I check eBay for closeouts. I'm partial to Nike MTB shorts, and can get them for about $16, delivered. While I'm no fan of she swoosh, they're excellent cargo MTB shorts for the price.

boxer briefs have gotta have some sort of legs that don't bunch... which is hard to find. I roll boxers around town, but swear by Swobo Technical Liners for longer rides http://www.swobo.com/catalog/product_info_m.php?cPath=1489&products_id=1122

I only own cycling shorts now... I have 1 wool 3/4 length shorts and 1 wool regular shorts cut (woot Ibex!), the rest are the usual mandex... durring the winter I also wear German army wool knickers super comfy, durable, warm and somewhat rain resistant. Only cost $30 too...

Yes and I'm really interested in yours.
It's a question in regards to what you wear while biking. No different then asking what shorts, tees, jerseys, etc...
Hell it's a bit less invasive of a topic then chamois butter and lubing up which is covered often on BF.
