Folding Bikes - news page added .... and need some feedback

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have added a news page ( dont want to call it a blog or sumpin ) and yes there is a lot of Spam on that page ( after all its mine) but also other interesting links and stuff ( I hope)
anything you like to see .....????
...........
Another question I have,
what other products you guys and gals would like me to sell besides what I already have. I am not interested in regular stuff you can pick up in any bike store, nor do I want to get into a bidding war with stuff which is available all over the place....
Will check into everything I like myself and it helps if it fits on small wheeled bikes
Lets hear

I would like to see pictures of the items on the Garage Sale page. I would like to see some folders with the accessories you carry. ie, the new leather saddle in black on a MU UNO or the bags on a Speed TR. Updates on what is on the horizon with Dahon, just some thoughts.

Mail order ice cream.
Rocking horse feathers
Dahon spares :twitchy:
I would like for you to sell minivelos like that Cannondale hooligan that's been bandied about. I'd be willing to be that a good number of us here don't fold our bikes too often. Are the smoothhounds and hammerhead still made? Those were a little pricey, though. Maybe some attractively priced minivelos.
Who knows, they could be the next urban hipster fad like fixies.

Checkout the current bikes the Midtown 20" series like the Bullhead.
Well thanks to your news page, I am now aware of an alternative to Brooks saddles and Carradice bags. :thumb:

I'd like to be able to click on images to get a higher-res view.
I like the the twitter-esque brevity of the posts. In fact, it might be a good idea to have the posts linked to Twitter (since they are short anyway).
Wow I just happned accross this blast from the past, when ole brakemeister wasn't selling Dahons:

Not really a new product but if you can post Dahon service manuals or other Dahon related technical info (by bike Model), it will make your site to The Site for everything Dahon.

good find Jur .
that was a very cool bike ..its a folding bike by the way ... I will get some pics and make a history page of sorts ... good idea
That was a MBA wrecking crew member, not the old :-) man himself.
MBA called this bike the best ever unified rear triangle full suspension they had ridden ... !!! It was made in Germany and pretty expensive at the time though ...
I will make some more pics of the garage sale items ..good point
Slowly very slowly I will try to get better with pics of parts on the bikes and those will be click to get bigger ones also .... I am drooling over the phots on ecovelo but only half as good will be already a huge improvemnt over the suppliers pics ... I am learning ..lol
( meaning there is a huge learning curve involved )
Dahon service manuals .. Dahon has improved their offering tremendously in this respect ( due to folks like you asking for it ) but I would indeed look for oder manuals they dont have .. good idea indeed
keep it coming I am listening

I'd be interested in 74mm O.L.D front hubs in 18h, 28h and 32h drillings for dahon, etc.
18h hub you would use with 36h rims, since there wouldn't be much material left in the flange if the hub was drilled for 36h and there's an abundance of 36h 20" rims available.
nothing like phil wood because it's ridiculously expensive, but maybe novatech, formula or a similar maker?
stock hubs on cheap dahon wheels are solid axle, ball bearing formula, but the front hub is 20h, which makes it difficult to replace the rim.
Start selling IGH and Dynohub equipped wheelsets not just the ones from/for Dahon.
