what in the world is the fork doing there? Did they replace the stock fork and put it there just to show it in the ad? If so, that a very weird place to put it......

Yeah, they are just showing that they still have the OEM fork in case you dont want the crappy suspension fork they put on the bike. I agree its a stupid way to display it but its a $45 bike so...

It look like they replace the fork. and as a buyer you would get both forks and you can replace them if you want.

It's been re-purposed as a emergency brake. Reach down and pull sideways.
