So I bought this bike last fall and I like it very much, but I'm leaving the country for a year or more and as much as I enjoy the bike, I'd rather turn it into money for travel than have it sit around the whole time while I'm gone. Plus my next bike investment when I do come back home will probably be a touring bike, which I'm more interested in than road biking.

The bike is, i think, somewhere from late 80s to early 90s. Some parts I think are original (downtube shifters and the whole drivetrain); the wheels presumably aren't since the front rim is Mavic, the rear Araya, but I can't see anymore info on the rims or hubs so I can't go into detail. Shimano exage caliper brakes. A bunch of parts are also nearly new as detailed below.
When I got it it was in fine working condition, but the pedals were some kind of old clipless that everyone who looked at them said were incompatible with modern shoes; the brake levers weren't working real great (and the hoods were falling apart), and the tires were pretty much breathing their last. I put Tektro brake levers on, Conti Ultra Gatorskins (now with a few hundred miles on them), MKS touring pedals with toe clips, a Cateye MITY8 computer, some fresh bar tape (although, in my first wrapping job, I did a half ass job, plus it's white tape) and added my B17.
Anyway, I was planning on putting it on Craigslist, 400 asking price. I'd probably ask a little more if someone also wanted the B17 (which I have maybe 700 miles on, but it's still got a lot of flex and isn't very broken in - and I followed the care instructions religiously), otherwise I'd put the stock saddle back on that came with the bike.
So question 1 - is 400 a reasonable asking price?
The second thing is, my parents mentioned to someone they know from church that I was looking to sell the bike, and I just emailed him describing the bike (similar to this). I mentioned I was going to put it on craigs for 400 and he offered to buy it sight unseen for that much. This isn't a scam, obviously, since it's someone my folks know (though I don't) but since it is somebody I (sort of) know, and I wasn't expecting to get the full 400 off craigslist, I feel kind of bad selling it to him for that much. Obviously I told him he could and should test ride it first to make sure it's a fit, but even then, assuming it fits, should I go ahead and sell it to him for 400 or be nice and admit that I wasn't expecting to get that much?
