What kind of Socks do you like to wear with your Cycling shoes? Is there a kind you like to wear in warm weather or in cold weather?, Or do they stay the same year round. I'm trying to get a good idea on puchasing the right pair. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

The question should be "Why Socks"....don't wear em.
I like the DeFeet socks the best. I go with their lightweight summer socks all year round, mostly because get shoes that fit so snuggly I can't fit much else under the shoes.

I like the Defeet also. I am new as well and ordered 3 pair on line. I got the Speede socks. They are shorter than most I've seen out there (similart to tennis or golf socks). Keep my feet really dry and no blisters or anything. I think I have medium (size 8.5 mens sneakers). I will try the large next time just to compare. The mediums fit well, but I think the Large size might give me some additional wiggle room.
Good luck!

I wear SmartWool RBX socks, they work great in the summer and in moderate California winters.
SmartWool are flat out the best. There is a RBX and a RBX ultra thin.
The RBX is the way to go if you don't have to have super thin socks.

I have DeFeet and Lin. They are both fine. I think the ones with the flames on them make you go faster.
Sock Guy. Got them at Nashbar.

I wear Defeet and some brand I bought at a running expo (I will post the name when I get home) they are very similar to Defeet.
When it is colder I wear a standard cotton sock

My favorit socks are Gold-Toe Teflon (http://www.goldtoe.com/cgi-bin/goldtoe.com/view.cgi?request=view_detail&prod_num=718-G2000&aisle_id=mens_athletic)

DeFeet are crap. Anyone who has tried Smartwool never goes back to ****ty synthetic socks. I also recently tried out some Craft socks. They're not bad, but they just have wool on the base and sides, and the quality of the wool isn't even close to the same realm as the Smartwools. I guess that's why they were cheaper
I have many socks in my sock drawer; however, the Sock Guy socks are superior to all.

Anything coolmax works for me, such as Lin and PI.

I like cool max too
I hate bulky socks!!!! I wear the tiny little socks that don't show, they go under your ankle and just around the back of your foot. They are very thin and are lycra/cotton. Plus you don't get the stupid tan line.

I wear the Cannondale socks because they seem to come in larger sizes, very comfy, etc.

Smartwool is the only way to go in my opinion.
